DCI appeals for information from the public to arrest suspected Al-Shabaab militants

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) is appealing to members of the public to volunteer information that may lead to the arrest of thirty five (35) armed and dangerous terror suspects, who are believe to bebpart of the Alshabaab terror network. 

According to the DCI, the 35 are believed to be a responsible for planning and orchestrating the deadly terrorist attacks and violence in Lamu County and the larger Boni Enclave.

The DCI has offered an undisclosed cash reward to any member of the public who provides credible information leading to the arrest of any of the suspects.

Futhermore, the Suspects have been ordered to surrender at the nearby police station immediately amidst Investigations.

The DCI had issued a Hotline on their page that would aid to bring information on the whereabouts of the suspects aiding to their arrest. 

The Lamu, Mpeketoni and Boni area has seen a rampant surge in terror activities that have claimed lives and reduced the residents to fear and terror with terror gangs recently burning houses, killing residents and kidnapped civilians.

The government through the Ministry of interior and National Administration has ramped up measures to alleviate the situation which has been escalating at an alarming rate.
