Matchweek 11 of the FKF Premier League standings portray a fierce race for the title, as KCB FC leads the rest with 22 points.

K'Ogalo, the defending champions of the league, are also not out of contention, seated fourth with 17 points and two outstanding matches.

KCB has proved to be a consistent side, having attained six wins, four draws, and just one loss that placed them on top by a whisker.

The 16 goals scored and a solid backline with only 10 goals conceded have given them a five-point cushion over Gor Mahia, but with the champions having two games in hand, the race remains wide open.

Bandari FC came second with 19 points from 10 matches, still keeping an impressive unbeaten record so far.

But Tusker FC keeps pressure on the leaders, coming third with 18 points from 10 games as one of the most potent attacks in the league with 18 goals scored.

With a game in hand, they remain serious challengers for the top spot. Gor Mahia, who are chasing their 20th league title, have been resolute despite their congested fixture schedule.

The defending champions, who have two games in hand, could rise to the summit if they get maximum points from their outstanding fixtures. Their goal-scoring and defensive solidity will be needed in the coming weeks as they try to wrestle their way back to the top.

The middle of the table remains a crowded affair, with the likes of Mathare United, Mara Sugar, and AFC Leopards all locked on 16 points.

These teams will be fighting to break into the top four and secure better positions as the season progresses.

At the bottom of the table, Posta Rangers find themselves in deep trouble with only six points from 10 matches, while FC Talanta (10 points) and Nairobi City Stars (11 points) hover near the relegation zone.

The playoff-position City Stars must also shape up to get out of the relegation survival way.

With the season getting to the midway stage, action is getting heated in the FKF Premier League as teams jostle for the title, continental qualification, and survival.

All eyes are now on Gor Mahia to see if they can capitalize on their games in hand and mount a serious title defense.
