A titanic kick-start from the Dubai 7s tournament for Kenya 7s in their opening fixture, falling 24-19  victims to France.

This match at Dubai Sports City proved an entertaining duel as each side tried their best on the pitch.

From the kickoff, the French showed how aggressive they could be on the field, taking charge almost immediately.

Their pace and agility soon saw them break through Kenya's defense as they scored the first try within minutes.

The conversion was successful, leaving France leading 7-0 early in the game. Undeterred by this setback, Kenya rallied and responded with a lot of vigor.

The star player, who has been the linchpin for this team, showed his class as he weaved through the French defense to score Kenya's first try.

This was a moment that re-ignited the hopes of Kenyan supporters, who had traveled in large numbers to support their national team.

The conversion brought the score to 7-7, momentarily leveling the playing field. However, France quickly regained their composure and retaliated with unyielding force.

They capitalized on a defensive lapse from the Kenyan side, scoring two quick tries in succession.

The second try was a real thriller, as the French player sprinted down the wing, evading multiple tackles.

With successful conversions, the score climbed to 21-7 in favor of France. As the clock ticked down, Kenya dug deep to try and revive their performance.

The dramatic turn of events unfolded when the team managed another try through a powerful run by their captain, reducing the gap to 21-14.

Excitement surged among the fans as Kenya fought gallantly in the dying minutes. With time running out, Kenya showcased their relentless spirit, scoring one last try to bring the score to 24-19.

However, the final whistle sealed their fate, leaving the players and supporters heartbroken but proud of their tenacity.

The post-match comments of the coach reflected both disappointment and determination.

He praised his players for trying hard but asserted that they need to improve on their guard and overall performance as they head into their next game. As Kenya regroups, the focus is set on upcoming fixtures in Dubai 7s.

In the initial stages of this tournament, there is plenty of scope for redemption to show the world what this team can do. All eyes will be on whether the team can actually turn this tide in subsequent games.
