President Ruto congratulates Donald Trump on election victory

Kenyan President William Ruto congratulated Donald J. Trump following his election as the 47th President of the United States. 

This move has been seen as a momentous occasion in Kenya-U.S. ties, reflective of a long-standing relationship between the two countries, which has thrived for over sixty years.

In the message by President Ruto shared on his verified social media accounts on Wednesday, November 6,2024, the victory by Trump represents the confidence that the people of America have in his "visionary, bold, and innovative leadership."

Ruto oozed confidence in the future of bilateral cooperation as he said Kenya was ready to scale up its collaboration in a number of areas like trade, investment, technology, peace, security, and sustainable development.

He traced the mutual respect and shared democratic values that have epitomized the relationship between Kenya and the United States.

He appreciated the effort of strengthening these ties as both nations sail through global challenges.

"We look forward to deepening our collaboration under your leadership as we work together to address global challenges, promote peace and security, and foster inclusive economic growth for the benefit of our peoples," Ruto said in his message.
