The year 2024 is an important year in the fight for sustainability, caused by the rapid rise of green technology.

Climate change is becoming a current crisis causing industries globally to adopt solutions that are innovative in order to reduce their carbon footprint and promote environmental health.

Renewable energy and good policies of Green technology have been seen and embraced as the backbone of the sustainable future.

A revolution through renewable energy has positively impacted companies to develop ultra-thin photovoltaic panels that fit well into architecture that is modern thus powering entire buildings.

In Kenya, the government is in the forefront of taking up renewable energy by turning to the usage of solar technology through various innovations like M-KOPA, which is designed to supply and install solar systems in urban and remote homes.

This year, 2024, countries like Kenya and China have made a record of installing wind power. In Kenya, The Lake Turkana Wind Power project is established in Garissa.

It is the largest power plant in Africa, serving East and Central Africa. This Wind Power is an example of how developing countries are adapting green techs to change the energy landscape.

The introduction of electric vehicles in the transport sector has strengthened the green revolution by reducing the emission of gases from the greenhouse.

Road transportation being one of the main sources of climate-damaging CO2 emissions, the integration of e-mobility is a crucial move.

The electrification of the transport sector is in progress. It is estimated that there are about 350 electric vehicles registered in Kenya out of 3.5 million vehicles.

The emission is being reduced by using advanced battery storage that is high performance from Tesla.

Many countries are supporting the revolution to green transportation as one way of combating climate change effects.

The European Union is setting regulations that will help to end the business of selling engine vehicles with internal combustion by 2035.

One of the main reasons that are causing the rise of green tech is strong policies that are enacted by governments.

The legislation is introduced to many countries with the ambition of meeting net-zero through innovation.

Kenya has set her goal aiming for Vision 2030 green energy projects to be implemented to deal with climate change.

This is not only for climate change combat but also for economic growth. Kenya has emerged as a green tech champion in Africa.

The partnership between the United Nations Environment Programme with nations has successfully contributed to this, which led to attraction of foreign and local investment and growth of entrepreneurship.

Green tech has economic impact to the global as it creates job opportunities and innovations. Countries should collaborate through working closely to achieve this goal.
