19-year old in court over mobile phone theft

A 19-year-old boy was on Wednesday arraigned before Kenol law courts to face the charges of stealing a mobile phone.

The court heard that the accused, one John Wambuku, stole the mobile phone, a Tecno pop 5 from the claimant at Texas bar in Kenol on May 21.

Senior resident Magistrate Sheila M Nyaga found Wambuku guilty of the offense and ordered that he pays a fine of Sh30,000 or in default serve three months’ imprisonment.
