Pokot Rustlers raid Loosk, Samburu

Some 16 cows were stolen by suspected Pokot raiders in Nolkera in the loosuk area Samburu county at about 1 pm.

The stolen cattle were driven towards Nginyany East Baringo county by heavily armed cattle rustlers.

Samburu West MP Nasuula Lesuuda urged the government to find a long-lasting solution to such incidents as the raiders at times kill innocent people.

Nasuula was speaking after attending the burial of one Peter Leparteleg who was killed last week by raiders in his home after his sheep were stolen urging the government to intensify patrols.

She urged the government to urgently transfer all security personnel who are serving in Pura and Nolkera camps which are at the border between the two counties accusing them of laxity.
