Burglars steal computers from government offices in Maralal

At least 16 computers were stolen after burglars broke into Samburu County offices in Maralal town.

Assistant county commissioner Peter Mutiso told KNA the stolen computers and laptops were taken from various offices including the state department of social services, land commission office, SC offices agriculture office and Nema office. 

He said preliminary reports into the incident indicated that the security officers manning the offices were not at their duty stations when the burglary occurred between11pm to 1am.

Mutiso said the administration police were investigating the circumstances under which the security lapses occurred amid fears there was complicity and possible collusion.
