Kojwach Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA), Joan Ogada, has castigated the Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), David Oginde, for alleging that the Homa Bay County Government was marred by corruption.

Ogada said it was wrong for the EACC Chair, to accuse Governor Gladys Wanga's Administration of mismanaging of public funds, without adducing tangible evidence.

The MCA spoke, Sunday, during the launch of a water project in Ngulu Kanyango Primary School in Kabondo Kasipul Constituency.

She said that Governor Wanga was a person who upholds integrity and that a lot of development had been achieved over the past year.

Ogada further added that health services and transport infrastructure had been streamlined.

"We now have health facilities in every location of Kasipul Ward and the government is in the process of giving tenders for various road projects," the MCA said.

She added that the County government was committed to rehabilitating the roads damaged by the El-Niño rains.

Ogada also said that the County government has awarded bursaries to 800 needy students this year compared to 500 students last year.

She said the ‘Fins to Swim’ Governor’s scholarship assisted another 600 pupils from vulnerable families.

Ogada applauded Kabondo Kasipul Member of Parliament (MP), Eve Akinyi Obara, for her development initiatives, which had uplifted the local economy.
