Senior government officials from Isiolo South Constituency have been implicated in grabbing of public land along the LAPSSET and Horn of Africa transport corridor.

Isiolo South MP Mohamed Tubi said that he had evidence to produce where some officers grabbed public land to get compensation from the government.

The legislator claimed that some officers have over stayed in the current station, some sticking for five years and they are not adding any value in service delivery to wananchi.

He said that senior security officers are implicated in corruption with a Chinese road contractor where one was given sh.3 million as kick back and there was evidence for the deal.

Mr. Tubi said he had been appealing for the removal of the officer and the Interior department is not cooperating with him adding that insecurity in Garbatula Sub County was not addressed as a priority by the officers on ground.

The MP who was accompanied by JIMA community President Mr. Mohamed Mudale said that cases of drugs and human trafficking are at an alarming level in Isiolo South where he alleged security officers are compromised.

Mr. Tubi urged the interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki to transfer Garbatula Deputy County Commissioner and his team in totality for the sake of saving youth from hard drug usage.

On the fight between Isiolo Women Rep. Mumina Bonaya and her predecessor Rehema Jaldesa, Mr. Tubi said that the politicians should mind the language they used in public against some leaders and their clans.

He said the two ladies should stop fighting through social media and look for elders to arbitrate their differences.
