NRG Radio is feeling the heat with the exit of two of its most valued radio personalities in recent times: King Kalala, whose real name is Prudence Tonui, and Natalie Githinji.

The two have been instrumental in making the radio station lively, forming a great bond with the listeners across the country.

King Kalala made the announcement on her social media handles today, the 8th of October.

As she says herself, it's never easy to leave, which she tells by: "After much thought, I have decided to part ways with NRG Radio. This decision wasn't easy, but I believe it's time for me to explore new directions and focus on exciting new ventures ahead.

King Kalala thanked her fans for their undying support, adding that their belief in her work means the world to her. She also passed her thanks to her colleagues at NRG Radio and was grateful for the opportunities of growth and getting to collaborate with such a gifted team.

Her exit comes just days after another host, Natalie Githinji, announced on September 4, 2024, through her social media pages that she was leaving after five years at NRG Radio.

Githinji, the former content creator and host of the Breakfast and AM Show at NRG Radio, took to social media to express her excitement about the new opportunities: "After five amazing years at NRG Radio, I have decided to take up new opportunities and face new challenges ."

She affirmed professional growth and unforgettable experiences throughout her time at the company.

Githinji hailed her colleagues and listeners, saying, "I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the clients and listeners who believed in me and supported me on this journey. The future is bright, and I am ready to embrace it."

These announcements come against the backdrop of another prominent exit at NRG Radio.

Shaquille O'Neill Oduk, popularly known as ShaqtheYungin, had actually left the station just three months prior in June 2024 after six years.

In his farewell, Shaq called the decision one of the toughest he ever had to make, having so many fond memories working with the team and listeners alike.

However, it seems for King Kalala, Natalie Githinji, and ShaqtheYungin, the future has more in store and only promises other bigger endeavors away from the airwaves of NRG Radio.
