Spyro defends Diamond Platnumz

Young Nigerian artist, Spyro has finally broken his silence about Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz allegedly stealing some of the beats in his song.

Last week, Diamond was heavily attacked on the internet after Nigerian blogs slammed him for airing some of their artists' songs that Diamond is accused of stealing beats from.

Nigerians flooded the internet and pressurised Diamond running for him to stop sampling their artists' songs, the latest being Spyro's 'Who's your guy' featuring Tiwa Savage.

However, Spyro who has a new collabo with Diamond has recently broken his silence and covered Diamond's chest saying that he is his friend and there will be no loss for him to take part of his beat in his song with Jux, Enjoy.

In his words on Twitter, Spyro said that no human being can achieve something alone because everyone needs the help of another person to cross from one side to the other, thus asking those who criticize Diamond to stop.

"No one is an island by himself, we all get our ideas from some Plc whether we agree or not, Diamond is my FRIEND, in fact we have only released one together and he hit it #FORYOU #LETDiamondBreath," Spyro said.

Spyro and Diamond have released their new song called "For You" with Teni and Iyanya, but also remember that Diamond is currently on his tour in Canada until July 23 this year 2023.

Earlier last week, his number one competitor for all time, Alikiba was the first to throw dirt on Diamond saying that taking some of the beats of foreign artists is degrading Bongo Fleva music.

"We are humiliating ourselves by doing plagiarism. Please work, sampling is okay but plagiarism no!" Ali Kiba said.

"When they 'copy' you'll hear them saying they have sampled but when we do so, they say we have copied. If they were geniuses, they would have sang traditional song, why are they singing Amapiano?" Diamond responded to  Ali Kiba.
