The M-PESA Foundation has extended its commitment to health care in Kenya through its string of committed efforts spanning across the country.

The Foundation has concluded yet another free medical camp on cancer screening in Muranga County, the third within the company.

The medical camp, which was done in collaboration with Longisa County Referral Hospital, screened over 50 patients for free for breast, cervical, colon, and prostate cancers.

This important outreach drive highlights the commitment of the Foundation to creating awareness of the importance of early detection of cancer and its general outcomes concerning treatment.

"As we continue to mark the month of Breast Cancer Awareness, we seek to sensitize the people as much as we can on the need for early cancer screening for better possibilities of successful treatment," said Patricia Ithau, Trustee of M-PESA Foundation.

"This is our third cancer-themes medical camp, and we have screened hundreds of patients both in Nairobi and Taita Taveta Counties." She added.

Aside from the cancer screening program, the Foundation also distributed 50 "mama packs" at the Longisa County Referral Hospital.

Packed with goods for both mother and baby, these packages are distributed at a time when it really counts, and the healthcare system cannot provide much in the way of postpartum supplies.

The initiative is also a pointer to the holistic approach the Foundation has towards improving maternal outcomes.

The M-PESA Foundation believes access to quality medical treatment has transformative power, hence their commitment to healthcare.

Early detection and intervention hold the key to better health outcomes, especially in the fight against cancer, and that is why the Foundation undertakes such initiatives.

We are really proud to partner with the Longisa County Referral Hospital and support its commitment to the provision of quality healthcare to the communities, added Ithau. This partnership represents an important step in our sustained drive to improve access to health services and enhance the lives of Kenyans.

The M-PESA Foundation has been at the forefront, championing healthy and productive living through innovative initiatives that have impacted many people across Kenya.

Recently, this medical camp and the distribution of mama packs have stood as testimonials to the Foundations' commitment to enriching people and their societies with access to basic healthcare.
