In our daily lives we are often told that education is the key to life. Yes, it is, it has enormous benefits especially for those who use it well or perhaps applied accordingly in their daily lives.

Education is a pillar of human rights, it unlocks people's minds and incentives to thinking and understanding.

In addition, education is a tool that catalyzes economy of any country, thus thriving to the growth of GDP and improves people's living standard.

Education in Kenya plays a vital role to the lives of girls through offering them the tools that break the chains of poverty and give them a meaningful space to prosper.

Despite the fact that education is playing a huge role to the girls lives, there are hurdles that are stagged on the way, they are persistent!

These barriers hinders the progress abd transformative power of education for the almost half of the population.

There is a need for society to champion and prioritize education of girl child as one way of strategizing future investment of this country.

There are several obstacles that holding back the transformative power girls in our society. One of the major hindrances are cultural norms and practices.

These often blocks the path of girls to education. It view education as the only tool that meant to empower boychild and neglect girls.

Such norms and practices are still paralyzing some girls in some parts of societies.

Early marriages have been a blod pool that swallowed many dreams of our girls who had vissions and plans to succeed in future.

This has caused them to miss out the academic aspirations of numberless girls who are still young.

So, early marriages have immense effects to the young girls since it denies them to seek opportunities for personal growth and economic independence that tend to empower.

Government has established many girl schools in the country but they lack essential facilities that temd to support them hence causing gender inequalities.

Educational stakeholders to partner with government to address the issue by giving necessary solution.

This will create conducive environment for girls to prosper in their educational journey. Another solution is government targeted programs that will speed up the transformation.

Programs and policies such as scholarships that are dedicated to girls, community awareness campaigns and mentorship initiatives are oneof the major remedies that will dismantle the barriers.

Such programs if they are well implemented, they will greatly change cultural perceptions and encourage support for young girls in school.

Once the education is fully acquired by girls the poverty level reduced and an increase in economic growth through massive growth will be experienced.
