Former United States of America President Donald Trump escaped assassination attempt on Saturday.

The incident happened in Butler Pennsylvania during a public rally. 

In the video ciculating on the internet showed Trump's security team acting quickly after several shots were fired.

The Republican presidential candidate was rushed off stage amidst eruption of gunshots. 

The video footage revealed Trump frowning with distorted expression and covering a hand to his right ear indicating pain from the injury.

The former US president was escorted and concealed in the vehicle and driven off by the security agents. 

According to his spokesperson, Trump is receiving treatment from a local medical centre. 

Taking to the social media, Trump stated that he felt the bullet skewered the "upper part" of his right ear.

" I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots and immediately fell the bullet ripping through the skin," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump went on expressing that he started experiencing excess bleeding thus making him start realizing what was happening. 

During the incident, a person's life was claimed while two people was nursing with critical injuries. 

The Federal Bureau of Investigation team, FBI, led by spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi, reported that the suspect of the attempted assassination was killed by security agents at the scene.

Earlier, the suspect was hardly identified since he had no documents defining him, but later the FBI identified the gunman as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, through DNA intense test.

Crooks was said to be from Bethel Park in Pennsylvania.
