Akothee reveals secrets behind her phrase "Niko Single"

Famous singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has made it clear that the 'I'm Single Again!' poster that she posted on Tuesday was just an advertisement for her new song 'Simu.'

Speaking in a video, the mother of five dispelled doubts about the state of her three-month marriage and clarified that she has not separated from her husband Denis Shweizer, also known as Omosh.

The singer chastised the media for calling her to clarify about her poster, pointing out that it was clear that it was an advertisement for a song.

"Don't you see that 'I'm Single' is a song! You're calling me to ask me why I've separated from my husband? What would make us separate? Just because of Nelly, part of my family, who came to my daughter's business launch? Or is it because you've all lost your minds? Who plans a poster saying they're single? Have we reached that level?" Akothee raged.

Moreover, she announced that she has already released a hit song on YouTube and asked her fans to go to the network and listen to it.

Meanwhile, Akothee clarified that her manager, who is also her former lover, Nelly Oaks, still being in her life does not have any negative impact on her marriage.

She said her husband Omosh is fine with her manager and is even willing to meet him.

"Know that Nelly is family forever. Those who are in Omosh's DM, know that Nelly is family forever. And no one will remove him from there, Nelly is not an ex. Even Omosh knows him, even Omosh said when he comes to Kenya they will share a drink together," she said.

The singer criticized Kenyans who thought that Nelly being in her life is a problem for her marriage, noting that they will feel bad when they see him sharing a drink with her husband.

"Stop that nonsense, that's what you're wishing for me, anyone who writes that Akothee has separated from her husband, that's what you're wishing for me," she said.

Over the weekend, Akothee explained why Nelly Oaks will always be close to her despite their relationship separation.
