Amani National Congress party[ANC] has again disagreed to fold their party to join the United Democratic Alliance[UDA].
ANC Secretary-General,Omboko Milemba said ANC remains a constituent party of Kenya Kwanza but they will not fold.
Milemba has defended the ANC party that it is an independent party that is solid.
The secretary-general stated that they will continue working with the Kenya Kwanza coalition as an independent party to achieve their agenda.
Further,he said ANC will still carry on their activities as usual and they have no plans of joining UDA.
"We will not fold the ANC to join UDA,we remain a constituent of the party of Kenya Kwanza,"he assured members.
"It is very important to remind you again at this particular juncture that in this meeting we have no plans whatsoever of folding ANC as a party,"Milemba added.
He promised the Kenya Kwanza Alliance that they will be loyal to them as partners in running the government.
Milemba noted that they have put measures to strengthen the party membership so that to be strong.
He argued that they are working towards making the party bold and strong so as to continue collaborating with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
"We are also busy strengthening our house as a political party and therefore we need to be strong members of our coalition,"he said.
PreviousANC Chairperson, who is also Lamu Governor,Issa Timamy, emphasized that ANC is committed to respecting and working with the Kenya Kwanza government since it is part of the Kenya Kwanza coalition and nothing else.
Further,he stated that Kenya is a democratic country and called on the need for democracy to be respected.
Recently,UDA Secretary-General Cleophas Malala appeared to threaten senior government officials in the Kenya Kwanza administration who are still clinging to their parties to choose between being in government or quitting the positions and holding on to their political outfits.
So far,six political parties under the umbrella of Kenya Kwanza Alliance have folded to join UDA of President William Ruto.
