Boda death paralyses activities at Kitale Bus Park

Trans Nzoia County Governor has temporarily suspended activities at Kitale Bus Park following the death of a boda boda operator on Tuesday morning after an assault by a group of touts following an altercation.

The early morning incident witnessed running battles between police officers and enraged groups of boda boda riders for the better part of Tuesday morning in Kitale town.

“The bus park will remain closed until Friday and will be reopened after installation of a new leadership committee,” said Natembeya while addressing hundreds of travellers, traders, drivers and boda boda at the stage.

Speaking to Kenya News Agency, the area County Police Commander Nelson Shilunji urged for calmness as security agents investigate the incident that had paralysed business activities within Kitale town and its environs.
