Garissa Town MP Aden Duale has claimed that there is a plot to have massive cancellation of KCSE results for candidates from the North Eastern region over claims of being involved in examination malpractice.
Speaking in Korakora town, Duale claimed that KNEC and the Ministry of Education intend to use reports that some papers leaked in the region as an avenue for canceling results.
“We know the statement that was issued last week by the DCI was meant to prepare us for cancellation of our children's exam.
"We want to tell the government and the Education CS George Magoha that we are prepared to challenge such acts in court, if they end up doing so… As leaders we are keenly watching and eagerly waiting for the results before we can take our next course of action,” Duale was quoted by the Star.

According to the DCI, all reports of leakage in the 2021 KCSE exams trace back their roots to the three counties.
The DCI noted that it is still probing the matter, but preliminary investigations revealed that the leakage may have originated from teachers who took photos of the exam papers immediately after they were opened at the various containers.
Meanwhile, several suspects have been arrested in connection to exam malpractice, with more expected to be nabbed as the investigations continue.
