Gor Mahia floors Muhoroni Youth to Keep pressure on Rangers as Murang’a seal falls to KCB

Gor Mahia closed in the point range to 1 Point from league leaders Posta Rangers with a dominant 2-0 win over Muhoroni Youth at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay County on Sunday.
Benson Omala opened the score sheet for K’Ogalo in the 16th minute to put the reigning Premier League champions ahead.
Gor Mahia’s head coach, Johnathan McKinstry, made a change in the 68th minute when Rooney Onyango was injured and replaced him with Paul Ochuoga.
Austin Odhiambo and Omala were withdrawn in the subsequent changes, and Kevin Juma and Patrick Kaddu, who recently returned from an injury spell, took their places.
Christopher Ochieng added the second in the late minutes of the second half capitalizing on a well served cross from Ochuga to bag all the three points.
The match hosted dignitaries including Azimio leader Raila Odinga and Homa Bay County Governor Gladys Wanga.
In other results, Kenya Police defeated the Nzoia 3-1 at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma as Murang’a seal lost 2-1 to visiting KCB at St. Sebastian Park.
Seal had previously held K’Ogalo to a 1-1 draw before heading to the International break.
The win sees the Bankers move third behind Gor Mahia with 22 points as Murang'a seal drops to 5th with 21 points same as fourth placed Kakamega Homeboyz all teams having played 12 matches.
