Government to construct 200 affordable house units in every constituency

The Government will construct at least 200 affordable housing units in every constituency in the country in the first phase of the program.

Kakamega Central Deputy County Commissioner Ngalia Ndaya announced to residents of Shikoti that President William Ruto launched the program in Kakamega at Milimani estate where the construction of 220 units has begun.

He urged those who want to benefit from the program to visit Boma Yangu website, register and select their preferred location of the unit.

Residents can alternatively dial a USSD code *832# and register to benefit from the Government Affordable housing program.

The DCC also asked residents to register in the Government ongoing programs like the Inua Jamii Cash Transfer programme targeting the elderly 7o years and above, People with Severe disabilities and the Orphans and Vulnerable children.

He said there is also an upcoming registration of farmers by enumerators asking farmers to ensure they avail their data.
