The family of a Kisii-based clinical officer who went missing two days ago are relieved after he returned home.
The news of his return was relayed by his wife Mary Kimaiga on Friday morning, March 25, 2022.
Cliff Momanyi went missing, after testifying in Sharon Otieno's murder case, over two days ago. His family had tried to trace his mobile phone but its location was last traced to Bomet before it switched off.
Momanyi was expected to return home on March 23, 2022, but failed to show up. Mary further revealed that the family did not know that he was a witness in Governor Obado's murder trial.

She only found out that he was a witness after watching the news.
“My husband was supposed to come back on Wednesday night but he is not yet home, his phone indicates that he was last online at around 7:29 pm on Tuesday, March 22.
"As a family, we are very much worried now that we know the matter he was involved in,” she had stated.
The family further raised concerns as to why the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) did not place him under witness protection yet he was a key witness in the case.
Momanyi told the Milimani Law Courts that he forged documents for Governor Obado's personal assistant Michael Oyamo, who is a prime suspect in the case.
According to the medic, Oyamo wanted medical reports to indicate that he was sick and hospitalised on the day Sharon Otieno's body was discovered in Homabay County.
"The patient (Oyamo) did not even come to the hospital but I was requested to fill the medical records form in which I indicated he suffered accidental suffocation and strangulation by unknown people,” Momanyi told the court.
Kenya Union of Clinical Officers (KUCO) Kisii branch Secretary-General Victor Bwanchete, said efforts to trace and know the whereabouts of their colleague have so far hit a snag.
He has called for speedy investigations into the matter.
According to Kisii Police Commander Francis Kooli, no complaint concerning the missing of the clinical officer has been received.
He had promised to issue a comprehensive report later on Friday, March 25.
Sharon Otieno, a former Rongo University student was murdered in 2018 while 7 months pregnant, with Migori Governor Okoth Obado being heavily linked to the crime.
The governor denies any wrongdoing.
