NCBA Bank launches 89th Branch in Easleigh

The NCBA bank today launched its 89th and newest branch at Business Bay Square Mall (BBS) in Eastleigh as part of the Bank’s strategic plan, to expand its retail business country-wide.
Speaking at the event, Kamukunji Legislator, Yusuf Hassan, complimented the NCBA, noting that it is one of the major African banks that has taken African symbol with a bigger ambition and vision.
He said it is an international bank spreading its branches across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ivory Coast with over one hundred million customers, saying that it will enhance financial accessibility to all the customers thus improving their financial well-being.
“Your presence here is a vote of confidence above the stability and economic growth for the future of our nation. As you have heard, up to 40 percent of the revenue of our capital city is accrued from here,” he remarked.
In addition, the law maker revealed that 5 percent of the national revenue for Safaricom comes from Eastleigh.
The cosmopolitan town comprises of thousands of traders with small, medium and large businesses.
“My final request now that you are here is, I would like you to invest in our youths. We have a very large number of unemployed young population and some of the most talented youth groups are found in this Constituency. So, extend your responsibility to Kamkunji and Eastleigh. Train our youth, employ more of our youth and give more opportunities and they will benefit. It will be a win- win situation,” he added.
During the inauguration Group Director, Retail Business Mr. Tirus Mwithiga, also commended the developers of BBS Mall for changing the face of Eastleigh
He emphasized the bank’s commitment in supporting the Eastleigh business community, assuring them readiness to deal with their evolving needs.
Mr Mwithiga stated, “As NCBA we are deeply committed to contributing to economic growth and prosperity in the region. Our goal is to deliver top-notch financial solution that are both globally innovative and locally tailored this latest branch in Eastleigh serves as a gateway, to supporting the vibrant business community of the area.”
The Group Director outlined NCBA focus on contributing local enterprises through stabilized banking solutions with a special emphasis on pivotal contributors to economic diversification, innovation and job creation.
