PSC announces over 1,900 vacancies: How to apply

The Public Service Commission (PSC) is seeking to fill over 1,900 vacant positions in various government departments.
The Commission advertised for the positions on Tuesday, with 21st November, 2023 being the deadline for application.
According to the advertisement, PSC is looking out for one Kenyan to fill the position of government chemist in the department of internal security and national government administration.
900 qualified Kenyans will fill the positions of clerical officers grade III, while 800 others are expected to fill the positions of senior support staff in the same ministry.
Under the state department for gender and affirmative action, PSC has advertised for the position of assistant director, gender.
The position of director, roads and rail transport services has been advertised, under the department of transport.
PSC also wants to fill 58 positions of land valuer at the lands and physical planning department, alongside finding a perfect fit for a director, internal trade in the department of trade and investment.
In the department of regional development, a director is needed.
Six assistant directors for tourism, research and policy innovation, tourism development and promotion, and tourism, investment and finance.
Other positions range from Children's Officer II, Social development officer II, Assistant social development officer III and director, foreign service. Others are deputy director, foreign service, assistant director, foreign service and shipping and maritime officer I.
Qualified and interested candidates have to apply through the PSC's website.
"Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke or jobs portal: www.psckjobs.go.ke so as to reach the commission on or before 21st November, 2023 latest 5pm East African time," PSC stated.
On 21st October, 2023, Moses Kuria, Cabinet Secretary for Public Service said the government will modernise PSC by replacing retiring civil servants with young Kenyans.
