Ms Naomy Morang'a aged 25 stayed with Prof Zachary Mosoti, 59, for a week in the Kamulu area then went missing immediately after his death on December 10, 2021. The don taught Management and Human Resource Development at United States International University while she had returned from the Gulf where she had worked for almost two years.
According to her friends, the don was unwilling to release her as per her request. He was aware of her request to visit her family upcountry but denied her permission. He had claimed that his second wife had done some withdraws in his account and therefore could not manage to pay for the travel.
Ms Morang'a had clearly stated that she had no desire to go back to Saudi Arabia as the don had promised to build her a house in Ruai as well as pay for her college expenses.

Her elder brother, Mr Ezekiel Morang'a said that her sister had communicated about her trip from Saudi and when she would be landing.
“She informed me that she was to arrive on 4th December and her whole family was eager to receive her. I had even travelled to Nairobi on Saturday to receive her at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport,” the brother said.
However, documents clearly show that Ms Morang'a had booked a flight scheduled for 2nd December. The flight was to pass through Alaklabi Travel and Cargo Agency located at King Faizal street in Saudi Arabia.
The plane according to the airport authority departed at 10.15 pm local time and arrived at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport an hour later. Later on, she left Jeddah on December 3 at exactly 8.05 am and arrived at JKIA at 11.50 am. The brother says that the search for the sister hit a dead end as no one was speaking about her considering everyone was focused on the death of Prof Mosoti.
“We have really tried to dig out what might have transpired but we are still in the dark. The police are not doing enough,” the brother concluded.
The family said that her friends in Saudi Arabia shared some details over the phone and the information has helped the family although they are still in distress.
A detective from Ruai police station stated that it was clear that the don was living with the lady but they could not tell if it was Ms Morang'a.
In addition, the detectives found a bottle of mango juice, which the don was not using since he was diabetic. Also in their possession is a pair of stockings that had been bought at a local supermarket.
