Research PLUS Africa, a specialized research organization, has unveiled Research Spring platform I, to empower African researchers as well as transform research dynamics as it celebrates its 10 year anniversary.

Research Plus, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mokeira Masita, said that Research Spring is a collaborative platform that aims to foster collaboration, co-creation and knowledge exchange among Kenyan stakeholders and produce impactful findings that, will not Only shape our country, but Africa’s evaluation on research.

“We can drive significant advancements in research and contribute to the socio –economic growth in the country,” said Masita and stated that collaboration and co-creation are the cornerstones of a thriving connection, between research and practice in Kenya and Africa at large.

Masita noted that the Company trains students in capacity building and offer them experience to help them engage more in meaningful research, as well as offer deep research methods while offering innovative, adaptive programming and communication strategies applicable in various organizations.

Speaking during the launch, Wednesday, the CEO said much is needed to be done in the research sector, emphasizing that as a country, there is a need to change perspective and focus on the cost of research and instead view it as an investment opportunity, that will provide reliable data and insights and in turn build a sustainable economy.

“Research is the world's best kept secret from Africa, that has a one percent ratio globally,” observed Matisa.

Matisa disclosed that Research Plus is working to nurture and empower researchers, adding the Company has managed to employ some beneficiaries of the programme.

The CEO reiterated that in over 8,000 Small and Medium Enterprises in the country, theSector has had tremendous changes as there is appreciation and awareness of data and insights offered by research.
