A 13-year-old girl has testified in a Molo court against her father who is charged with defiling her.
Giving a vivid description of what occurred on 4th of March of this year, the minor told the court that the accused, Johnstone Ashenwa, who is her biological father asked her to dress up and accompany him to Kibunja forest where he collects firewood for sale to earn a living.
As per the instructions given, she was ready and off they went leaving behind her five other siblings while their mother was away at work.
The minor said while they were inside the forest, her father asked her to undress, grabbed her by the hand and defiled her.
“Father caused me a lot of pain and I feel so bad,” the minor told the court adding that he threatened her using a panga of dire consequences if she let anyone know about the incident.
After the day's work, they went home and later she shared the ordeal with her 15-year-old sister who coincidentally had similar claims.
The 15-year-old reported the matter to Molo police station leading to the arrest of their father.
Ashenwa is facing another charge of defiling his 15-year-old daughter.
Molo Chief Magistrate Elena Nderitu adjourned the hearing of the case to 25th May of this year for further hearing. Ashenwa was granted a Sh50,000 bond.
