A section of leaders drawn from the Kenya Kwanza administration have defended President Dr. William Ruto’s trips abroad saying they have brought more fortune to the country.

The leaders among them; Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, Narok Governor Patrick Ntutu, Narok North Member of Parliament Agnes Pareiyo, East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) Godfrey Mwangi and former MP Kimani Ngunjiri said the government was in the right track in terms of development.

Mwaura recalled that the country was sinking in debts before President Ruto took office, hence the need to move around the globe to negotiate the debts taken by the previous administration.

“The best father is the one that moves around to look for food for his children, that is why our president is moving around to look for more money to develop the nation,” he said.

The spokesperson thanked the president for appointing him in a senior position in government despite being a Person Living with Disability.

Governor Ntutu reiterated his commitment in implementing key development projects in the county saying in his first year in office, he set aside Sh. 100 million to develop each of the 30 wards in the county.

“We as the Kenya Kwanza governors are determined to deliver services to the people as directed by our president. We promise our president that we will not let him down at the grassroot,” continued Ntutu.

On her part, Ms. Pareiyo thanked President Ruto for prioritizing the Maasai people in development, saying a recent visit to the statehouse saw the president commit to tarmac many roads in the area and extend electricity coverage.

Ms. Pareiyo who was elected on a Jubilee ticket said she has shifted her allegiance to President Ruto so that her people can benefit from mega development projects.

The leaders were at Melili area in Narok county to attend the graduation ceremony of Ms. Naserian Sankok, daughter to EALA MP David Sankok, who was graduating with a degree in Engineering.
