Administrators destroy over 2,000 litres of illicit brew

National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) destroyed over 2,000 litres of illicit brew of Muratina in Narok town.

Led by Narok Central Acting Deputy County Commissioner Mr. Abdi Shakur together with other administrators, they have continued with the crackdown of illicit brew in Narok town, following the directives of the president.

The administrators raided Narok town and found plastic containers used for distilling and storing illicit brew in Muratina form, 250 litres each, hidden inside a room.

While addressing the media, Shakur said illicit brew drinks have increased the rate of poverty amongst the youths in the society. “Through the directives of the President and his Deputy, we are going to fight to eliminate illicit brew,” added Shakur

The Ag DCC called upon the residents to be more vigilant and to provide information to the relevant authorities that will lead to the arrest of all illegal brewers in the area.

Shakur said the government would not relent and the crackdown will continue until the illicit breweries are completely eliminated.
