AS Roma, Sevilla reach Europa League final

Italian Serie A side AS Roma will face Spanish club, Sevilla in the 2022/2023 Europa League final.

Roma, under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho booked the final slot after a 0-0 draw against Bundesliga side Beyer Leverkusen in the semi final's second leg encounter on Thursday night.

Mourinho's charges qualified with a 1-0 aggregate score, after beating Leverkusen 1-0 during the first leg at the Stadio Olympico in Rome, last week.

Mourinho has won all five of his previous five European finals, including last season's Europa Conference League with Roma.

On the other hand, Sevilla beat Juventus 2-1 at the Ramon Sanchez stadium, to book a 7th Europa League final tie, with former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Lamela scoring the winner during extra time.

The Spanish team qualified with a 3-2 aggregate after a 1-1 draw last week.

Roma will face Sevilla in the final in Budapest, Hungary on 31 May, 2023.

Meanwhile, English Premier League side West Ham United beat Dutch side AZ Alkamaar 1-0, while Fiorentina thrashed FC Basel 3-1 to book UEFA Conference League final.

West Ham will face Fiorentina in the final on June 07, 2023.

AS Roma won the inaugural UEFA Conference League title last season.
