Assorted items netted at Ilasit area

Police in Loitoktok Sub County on Monday confiscated assorted items suspected to have been stolen in the Ilasit area.

The assorted items include 4 motor cycles of which three were disassembled, television sets, woofers, laptops among other items.

While addressing the media today, Loitoktok Sub County Police Commander, Shadrack Rutto said that the police have arrested one person in connection with the theft and are assisting with investigations.

Rutto said the police had received complaints from local community of rampant theft taking place and organised a patrol which netted the items in one of the homes in the area

The Sub County police boss added that security officers are following a lead to nab another suspected accomplice who is at large and suspected to have escaped to Tanzania saying with time they will apprehend him.

The police commander appealed to residents whose items were stolen to report at Ilasit Police Station to identify their items

He also appealed to local residents in the sub-county to report suspicious individuals who might be involved in committing crimes.
