Babu Owino files case in the court against Finance Bill

Member of Parliament for Embakasi East Constituency,Paul Owino,popularly known as Babu Owino has today filed the case in the court to oppose the Finance Bill 2023.
The case at Milimani Law Court,Nairobi,where it is scheduled today.
Speaking to the press,Owino has promised to defend Kenyans from what he termed as "traumatization"
The MP has vowed to vote against the bill in the third reading since it has no benefits to a common citizen.
"I proceeded to be with my lawyer today,new members of the media.You have clearly seen that I was in the court for the defense hearing of my case,"he said.
On the other hand Nominated MP John Mbadi,has defended the opposition leaders' decision of walking out of the parliament today amidst debate session.
Mbadi has said that the budget was not meant for the Kenyan people but instead meant to favour specific individuals.
Mbadi has suggested the government review the budget that suits all Kenyans who are experiencing high cost of living.
He has stated that the budget is not founded on the primary needs of kenyans.
"We don't think this is a budget meant for the Kenyan people,these are magic meant for the queen,"said MP Mbadi.
Mbadi has condemned the budget and vowed to oppose the Finance Bill.
The bill is expected to go through Committee Stage by next week before being debated on Third Reading.
Azimio MPs have opposed the budget claiming it has a huge amount of money that will see many Kenyans suffer a lot.
Kenya's National Treasury and Planning Cabinet Secretary, Njuguna Ndung'u, a former central bank governor, has today present his maiden Ksh3.6 trillion ($25.75 billion) budget for 2023/24, a 6.5 percent increase from the Ksh3.38 trillion ($24.18 billion) the previous year.
Professor Njuguna Ndung’u presents his first budget as part of President Ruto’s administration, with the Appropriation Bill expected to be passed into law by June 30th, to enable execution of the 2023/24 Budget.
