The County government of Nyamira is pushing for credibility in the forth-coming Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) Examinations and the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE).

Addressing candidates for both KCPE and KPSEA examinations from various learning institutions at St. Tiberius Church during a prayer ceremony for them in Kitutu Masaba Constituency, Nyamira County Assembly Speaker Enock Okero cautioned the learners against engaging in any form of exam malpractices.

Okero noted that exam malpractices will ruin their future and bring embarrassment instead of credible and good results.

He congratulated the schools that topped in the last examinations and encouraged them to maintain the results or improve them.

He promised that bright but needy students with more than 350 marks and above in KCPE will earn themselves full scholarships in Secondary Schools.

He revealed that last year more than 250 students received full scholarships with each of the 20 wards in Nyamira getting at least 10 students in the program and projected an increase of more than 1,000 students in the same program in the next five years.
