By Peter Ochieng
Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Kenya, is celebrating its 7th anniversary by rewarding customers with paid-for shopping trolleys in an exciting spin-the-wheel lucky draw.
To thank customers for almost a decade of loyalty and support, Carrefour is surprising over 1,500 customers with a free shopping trolley as part of its ‘Asante Mara Saba!’ campaign.
It runs from 24 May to 6th June, 2023 across all Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets in the country.
Winners will be selected randomly at the cashier checkout counters. There will be 110 winners every day.
Christophe Orcet, Regional Director of Carrefour - East Africa, Majid Al Futtaim Retail said the promotion gives them an opportunity to stay thank you to their customers.
“Since the introduction of our first store in 2016, our business has expanded greatly with a growing customer base, making Carrefour one of the leading retailers in Kenya. The ‘Asante Mara Saba!’ campaign gives us the opportunity to say thank you to Kenya for the successful 7 years and to give back to our customers," he said.
The retailer has become the local partner of choice, creating over 2,000 direct job opportunities and contributing to the economy through its network of 700 local suppliers and partners.
Carrefour operates 19 stores countrywide, with 15 located in Nairobi while Kisumu and Mombasa host two stores each.
To participate in the anniversary celebrations, customers can visit any Carrefour Kenya store, the MAF Carrefour App or its social media platforms.
