Dala Sevens VIP tickets up for grabs for Sh700

By Peter Ochieng

Dala Sevens VIP tickets have been slashed by Sh300 today, in the spirit of celebrating Eid-ul-Adha.

VIP tickets were going for Sh1,000 ahead of the rugby tournament set for 1st and 2nd July, 2023 at the Jomo Kenyatta International Sports Stadium, Mamboleo.

However, according to Anyang' Nyong'o, Kisumu Governor, VIP tickets are now trading at Sh700, but only for a period of time.

One can enjoy the discount if he/she buys the ticket between 6pm and 12am today, the 28th of June, 2023.

Tickets can be bought via www.tikohub.co.ke.

On Tuesday, the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) announced pools ahead of the Dala Sevens, which will be the National Sevens Circuit (NSC) opening round.

In the pools, Menengai Oilers are the top seeds.

The reigning NSC champions are in Pool A alongside city rivals Nakuru, Nondescripts and Catholic Monks.

Last season’s NSC runners up KCB headline Pool B. The other teams in the group are Kenya Harlequin, Masinde Muliro and Mombasa.

Strathmore Leos are in Pool C, alongside Kabras Sugar, Daystar Falcons and hosts Kisumu RFC.

Dala 7s champions Homeboyz lead Pool D, and are set to square it out out with Mwamba, Western Bulls and last season’s overall division 2 champions Makueni.

Dala 7s pools:

Pool A: Menenegai Oilers, Nakuru, Nondescripts, Catholic Monks

Pool B: KCB, Kenya Harlequin, Masinde Muliro, Mombasa

Pool C: Strathmore Leos, Kabras Sugar, Daystar Falcons, Kisumu
