The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has shared photos of a woman believed to be behind the killing of Nairobi Hospital acting finance director.
Dr. Eric Maigo was murdered in the wee hours of Friday September 15, 2023.
He was killed by an unknown person, with his body being discovered with over 10 stab wounds.
Initial police report indicated that a woman was involved in the murder.
The DCI shared photos of the suspect who was captured by CCTV cameras leaving Maigo's residence in Woodley estate, Nairobi after allegedly committing the gruesome murder.
"The suspect who was captured leaving the victim's residence at Woodley Annex - Upper is believed to have been involved in the murder most foul before escaping through the back door," said the DCI.
"Two blood stained knives believed to have been the murder weapons were recovered from the scene of crime."
"As detectives burn the midnight oil to arrest the female suspect, members of the public are requested to volunteer any information that may lead to her immediate arrest," added the agency.
Photos released by DCI and seen by Nairobi Review show the suspect escaping from Maigo's residence, by scalling the perimeter wall.
Only one suspect has so far been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder.
Cynthia Lusega Andalo was arrested and arraigned under miscellaneous application on Monday, as police were allowed to hold her for five days to pave way for investigations.
Detectives believe she might have knowledge or worked with the main suspect, as they were together earlier on the night of Maigo’s murder in his Woodley house.
