Embu governor promises to work with government for development projects

Embu county government has promised to continue working closely with the Kenya Kwanza government.
The co-operation intends to ensure there is an increase in agricultural,infrastructural developments among others.
Speaking during the celebration of the 60th Madaraka Day at Moi Stadium Embu on June 1,,governor of Embu Cecily Mbarire has said her county government is going to ensure her people fully benefit from government projects
Mbarire has applauded President William Ruto for making much efforts to ensure Embu is advancing in development.
In the agricultural sector,she has addressed that distribution of subsidized fertilizer to the county from national government is going to improve quality harvests thus increase in food production.
"We appreciate the work that is happening between the national government and the county government,"applauded Governor.
One of the major aim of working closely with national government,she has said is to ensure the prices of major crops are upgraded which will make the farmers' conditions favourable.
"Your Excellency we look forward to working closely with your government in ensuring that agriculture is empowers the farmers in this County and that we improve on the prices of our major crops namely coffee,tea,dairy,macadamia,honey among many..."Mbarire said.
She has asked the government to support them with finance of 250 million shillings to build more markets for the produce of farmers of Embu.
As county they have 250 million shillings where they are targeting to build markets in the available ready land.
"We know your government is also bringing another 250 million shillings that will work towards ensuring that our value chains have an opportunity for value addition and better markets.
So far,Kenya Kwanza government has renovated maternity post and antenatal ward,pediatric unit and newborn unity at the Embu Level 5 Hospital in Embu.
Moi Stadium Embu is one of the latest projects built by President Ruto's government.
Embu Modern market was launched last Friday that is scheduled to host about 3000 stalls cold rooms and daycare for the mothers who have young children.
