The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority wishes to announce the release of the much-awaited Energy and Statistics Report for the Financial Year ended June 30, 2024.

The launch is slated for tomorrow, Thursday, October 17, 2024, and is expected to shed light on the energy and petroleum status in the country.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority said the report carries comprehensive data on important variables like energy supply, demand, price trends, competition, and market shares in the industry.

The report is a key source for policy makers, investors, industry players, and other stakeholders in that it improves decision-making along the energy value chain.

EPRA says that the findings of this report will be pivotal in shaping the future of energy policy and business strategies, as they give stakeholders a clear picture about the state of the industry.

By conducting an in-depth analysis of energy consumption patterns, the structure of pricing, and prevailing market competition, the report highlights the dynamic trends that shape Kenya's energy market.

Above all, the report is anticipated to give an insight into the performance of Kenya's renewable energy sector, petroleum distribution networks, and how global fluctuations in the energy market are affecting local prices.

In all aspects, this report would be a yardstick used against which progress in the attainment of sustainable energy goals and the utilization of cleaner energy sources is appraised.

Meanwhile, EPRA is asking members of the public, players in the industry, and media fraternities to follow the conversation on the launch of this calendar through its official social media platforms, especially through its Twitter handle @EPRA_Kenya.

With the energy sector being among the key drives of Kenya's growth, the report is bound to give actionable insights that shape the future of the industry: one that is resilient, competitive, and sustainable for all Kenyans.
