He represented President William Ruto in the 30 Under 30 Forbes Summit.
Gachagua arrived back on Wednesday, accompanied by his spouse, Pastor Dorcas Gachagua among others.
He termed the Botswana visit as highly successful, especially after Kenya was given a go ahead to host the 3rd 30 Under 30 Forbes Summit later this year.
"It feels good to be back home after a highly successful official visit to Botswana which has seen Kenya clinch the bid to host the next Forbes 30 Under 30 Africa Summit later in the year," said the DP in a statement.
During his time in Botswana, Gachagua was hosted for dinner by President Eric Mokgweetsi Masisi and First Lady Neo Jane Masisi.
"The interaction and engagement with some of the youthful speakers at the Forbes 30 Under 30 Africa Summit, game-changers, the Creme De La Creme in youth entrepreneurship from the Continent was informative," he said.
The Deputy President is today expected to hold a meeting with stakeholders on ending brewing and excessive consumption of alcohol in Mt. Kenya.
