Hampton’s hospital management in Butere Sub County yesterday held their annual visionary and induction meeting for senior staff at Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC).

The hospital CEO Maurice Siminyu said 40 new telehealth locations will be opened in the Country starting September 2023 and completed in June 2024.

Siminyu said they will add three departments to implement the new telehealth locations to be completed next year.

Telehealth entails remote diagnosis and treatment of patients by means of telecommunications technology that allows long-distance patient and healthcare staff contact, care, advice, and remote admissions.

He said the facility’s rapid growth has led to the creation of 13 departments that have cancer treatment and diagnostic centers with a 5000-patient capacity.

The hospital which opened in 2019 at a cost of 2 billion US dollars’ community-owned sustainable metropolis treats Kenyans and medical tourists in the region.

Kakamega County residents with NHIF cards are treated without paying extra co-payment charges.

The hospital management and technical team was hosted by MMTC founder and facility director Julius Mwale at the Hamptons Plaza, Butere Sub-county.
