Butere MP Tindi Mwale has issued cheques worth more than six million for the construction of various projects in the area.
The money allocated through the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) is meant to cater to infrastructural development within the region.
Mwale offered the cheques yesterday at Mundeku, Central Marama ward to build Emutoma Chief’s office and other three primary schools.
“We have agreed to build Emutoma Chief’s office and completion of renovation works at Eshirembe, Eshibeche, and Eshianini primary schools,” he said.
The chief’s office will be built at a cost of shillings one million while 1.2 million will be used to renovate the classes.
The legislator also set aside shillings three million and 1.5 million to complete the construction of dormitories in Mutoma Girls Secondary and Butere Girls high school respectively.
He called on the students to put on more study effort to achieve intended goals and succeed in their endeavors.
This comes after a similar exercise was done last week as the MP promised to upgrade educational infrastructure in the area.
