Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa has said that the region is strategically preparing to host the Federation of East African Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) games in 2025.

The Governor was speaking Saturday at Eregi TTC in Ikolomani Sub-county during County's Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) meeting.
He also pointed out that that the Council of Governors (CoG), through its Education Committee, is actively advocating for increased salaries and allowances for teachers.
The event was attended by Bungoma Woman Representative Catherine Wambilianga, MCAs led by the area representative Stephen Mukhala, Education County Executive Committee Member Bonface Okoth.
Others who graced the occasion included Chief Officers Leah Khasandi and Jessica Wesonga as well as the Advisors, Echesa Busalire and Emmanuel Makokha.
