FKF Kenya Premier league leaders Posta Rangers were forced to a 1-1 draw by Western based Kakamega Homeboyz in a match played at Bukhungu stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Brian Otieno would have opened the scoresheet for rangers three minutes into the game but his free kick went off target.
Four minutes later Homeboyz capitalized on their first chance as Moses Shummah's chipp went past goalkeeper Kevin Opiyo to give Homeboyz the opener.
Posta Rangers found the equalizer in the half-an-hour mark as a Brian Otieno corner kick delivery found Ondiek Bernard who headed it home to make it 1-1.
At the fresh minutes of the second half, Homeboyz brought in new energy to gear up their strength by introducing Felicien Okanda and Francis Omondi who replaced Ambrose Sifuna and Chris Masinza.
A dangerous solo by Okanda halfway through the second half failed to change the scores as he fired wide past the goalkeeper.
The dying minutes of the match saw both teams ramp up their Defence to avoid late shocks as they both tried to cut through each other's backlines.
A draw seemed a much fair result for both teams as Posta Rangers continue to enjoy their spot at the top of the table with 20 points one more away from second placed Gor Mahia both teams having played 9 matches.
