Lenku reshuffles cabinet, appoints new CECs

Kajiado Governor Joseph Lenku has reshuffled his cabinet and nominated three new County Executive Committee Members (CECM) to serve in various dockets.

The three CECMs who were sworn into office include: Judy Pere (Public Service, Administration, Social Services, Citizen Participation& Inspectorate Services, Jackton Achola (Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries & Irrigation) and Janet Sereu: Gender, Culture, Cooperatives, Tourism and Wildlife.

The three CECMs were approved by the County Assembly unanimously on Tuesday after undergoing a vetting process.

Jackline Koin who was at the Agriculture docket has been moved to Trade, Investments and Enterprise Development.

Alais Kisota has been moved from the Roads to Finance, Economic Planning and ICT while Michael Semera who was the Finance CECEM moved to Roads, Public Works, Transport & Energy.

Alex Kilowua and Jeremiah ole Ncharo have retained their positions as the CECMs for Medical Services and Public Health and Education, Vocational Training, Youth and Sports respectively.

Others who retained their positions include: Hamilton Parseina: Lands, Physical Planning, Urban Development, Housing and Municipalities, Dr Leina Mpoke: Water, Environment and Natural Resources.

Francis Sakuda and Augustine Sekeyian have been retained as the County Secretary and County Attorney respectively.
