Maina Njenga reveals his relationship with Gachagua

Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga maintains he has no 'borne to chew' with Deputy President (DP) Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua.

Appearing on Citizen TV's JKL show on Wednesday night, Njenga who says he is a bishop with Hope International Ministries stated, "I am a son of a Mau Mau freedom fighter just like Gachagua."

"I have no problem with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua," said Maina.

Njenga who claims to be a principal in Azimio La Umoja One Kenya, alongside Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Martha Karua, said he has planned for a meeting seeking to bring all Mt Kenya leaders and residents together.

The meeting, he said will be held in Nyeri county on December 31st, and among those expected to attend is Gachagua and retired president Uhuru Kenyatta.

"He says he is the son of Mau Mau, we want all sons of Mau Mau to come and meet," he added, seemingly directing his message to Gachagua.

Nyeri, Njenga said is Central, besides being home to heroes, such as freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi, Kenya's third president Mwai Kibaki and late environmentalist Wangari Maathai.

Concerning the Mt Kenya kingship, Maina Njenga said he is assuming that role not because he wants it, but because of the 'push by Kenyans,' especially those from Mt Kenya.

The former Mungiki sect leader on most occassions threw in the name of Moses of the Bible, prompting the show host - Jeff Koinange to ask him, "You seem to like that guy?"

"Yes, he was a liberator," Njenga responded.

As the interview reached fever pitch, a listener through X, formerly Twitter wanted to know his net worth, his wife/wives and children.

Njenga declined to reveal his net worth, adding that the greatest asset God blessed him with is sound mind.

He declined to share any information about his wife/wives or children, only insisting that under the constitution, a man can marry as many wives he so wishes.
