Man arrested with 82 rolls of bhang

Police at Ololulunga sub county in Narok South Sub County are holding a 40-year-old man who was nabbed with 82 rolls of bhang.

 Ongeri Ratemo alias Rasta was arrested at his home Ololulunga junction by police officers who were acting on a tip-off from the members of the public.

Confirming the incident, Narok South Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Felix Kisalu said the notorious drug peddler had dodged various police dragnets in the past and is responsible for increased drug addiction and deliquence in the town and its environs.

“We are happy that ‘Rasta’ is finally in the hands of the police. His case was handed over to the Narok County Anti-Narcotics Police Unit,” he reported, adding that the suspect will be handed over in court, where he will be charged with being in possession of Cannabis Sativa.

While commending the public for giving truthful information that led to the arrest of the notorious drug dealer, the DCC called on the residents to continue providing valuable information to security officers to help nab all drug peddlers.

Kisalu warned those involved in similar illegal businesses that their days were numbered as they would soon be brought to book.
