It was a thriller at the theater of dreams for Manchester united as they were humiliated to a 3-0 thrashing in front of Home fans at the English Premier league match on Saturday at Old Trafford.

Norwegian Hitman Erling Haaland opened the scoresheet for city from a penalty kick awarded by VAR after a foul on Rodrigo.

Haaland added the second with a stunning header from a cross by Bernardo silva with Phil Foden adding more woes to the Manchester united turf with a third strike that killed the hopes for the hosts.

The match begun with a memorial tribute to fallen United legend Sir Bobby Charlton who passed away a week ago.

United went into the game with an already struggling form having won a hard-earned 1-0 againist Danish side Copenhagen in the Champions league on Tuesday with City winning their champions league clash 3-1 against Swiss champions Young Boys.

The win puts the defending champions on the third place with 24 points with an ailing United sitting on the 8th slot with only 15 points both teams having played 10 matches.

The loss puts more pressure under United's manager Erick Ten haag with the fans hungry for better results amid an ongoing takeover that will see English billionaire Jim Ractfill assume as a shareholder in the Manchester united team.
