Man Stabs Woman to Death in Kitengela

A 25-year-old man in Kitengela, Kajiado County has stabbed a woman to death over an alleged love triangle.

The suspect allegedly murdered the 22-year-old woman in Chicken Inn, Kitengela minutes after 8 Pm on Friday night.

The two who worked together at the eatery were believed to be having an on and off relationship before the tragic turn of events.

According to a police report, the suspect who worked on the morning shift on Friday returned to their workplace at around 8PM and attacked the victim who was serving customers with a knife.

The victim who was caught unaware was unable to defend herself and ended up in a pool of blood which led to her death.

Following the incident, the customers within the eatery and the workers screamed, attracting members of the public into the eatery.

The mob descended on the suspect who was trying to escape and left him with major injuries before the police rescued him.

The police recovered the murder weapon and rushed the suspect to the Kitengela Sub County Hospital where he is receiving treatment under police watch.

The body of the victim was moved to Kenyatta University mortuary.

Confirming the incident, Kajiado County Police Commander, Muthuri Mwongera said that the crime was premeditated and the suspect will be charged for murder on Monday.

The police commander urged young people to learn to accept rejection in relationships as killing one another isn’t the solution.
