MCK announces Media Internship Programme for Graduates

The Media council of Kenya in partnership with media outlets and Government departments and agencies has unveiled an internship programme for Communications and Journalism graduates.

Through an advertisement on its X platform, MCK said the programme is geared towards developing skills and preparing youths for job markets as well as equipping the participants with the required workplace experience whilst expanding their knowledge and Practical skills. 

The Beneficiaries will also be able to refine their career goals and build professional networks that will enable them navigate through the employment market. 

MCK has further announced that the internship will run for a person of 6 Months from January to June 2024 where participants will be issued with a monthly stipend to support their upkeep requirements. 

The application invites youths aged between 20-29 years who are expected to submit an application letter for the internship as well as providing a communications or journalism degree from a recognized university or college. 

Interested applicants are also expected to submit academic transcripts, a recommendation or reference letter from the university they attended, a Valid MCK press card and provide a web link to their works and social media pages. 

Furthermore, applicants must have graduated within the last two years from the closing date of the advertisement. 

All interested applicants are expected to submit their applications before Friday, 24 November, 2023.
