Gor Mahia's Unbeaten run was put to test as they forced to come from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw against Nzoia Sugar in an FKF Premier League match at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay on Saturday.

17th Placed Nzoia who took an early lead through Mohamed Barisa in Just nine minutes into the match after the baller connected well with Joseph Oyugi’s pass to silence the green crowd in Homabay. 

Into the half - hour mark, K’Ogalo were the victims again after Barisa stunned the second for Nzoia putting the defending champions under tight pressure. 

Patrick Kaddu pulled a goal back on the stroke of halftime for a 2-1 score line at the break.

In a bid to level the change the scoreline, Gor Mahia head coach Johnathan McKinstry made changes to his side bringing Bryson Wangai and Lawrence Juma for Patrick Sibomana and Kevin Juma.

Austin Odhiambo was also withdrawn for Boniface Omondi Kogalo kept the pressure high in search for an equalizer. 

Thirteenth minutes into the second hakf K’Ogalo won a penalty as Omala stepped up to score his eighth goal of the season and draw Gor Mahia level to the relief of the home supporters.

K’Ogalo kept attacking in a bid to find the winner but it was not forthcoming as Nzoia forced a share of the spoils.

The draw preserves Gor Mahia's position at the top of the table where they now have 28 points, three ahead of second-placed Posta Rangers who play on Sunday.

Nzoia, meanwhile, remain 17th on the table with only 10 points.
